Classic HeavySoulBrutha Mix: The Record Shop!

Red Case

SoulSistas And SoulBruthas! I always get excited for Record Store Day. I mean, to all serious music lovers and vinyl collectors, every day is Record Store Day. But, this little mid-April celebration of independent record shops is really an official holiday for me. I love the excitement of lining up with, mostly, other music lovers, asking each other what we’re all after and grabbing up something cool. Yes, there are some detractors who say the day has lost it’s special meaning with the infusion of major labels getting on board with some overpriced items, and the eBay snatch and grab crowd pushing their way through. Despite that, I still dig it.

Here’s a 100% all vinyl mix I did a few years back of some gems I got at my local shops. Hopefully this’ll get you hyped, or if you’re waiting in line on Saturday with some headphones on, cue it up for your listening pleasure. If you’re a shop owner, blast it in your shop. That’d be real cool!

Have fun and may you end the day with marked out titles on your list, heavy bags of vinyl and smiles on your faces! Peace and SOUL… HSB
